Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 29, 2025
1. Who We Are
HyperSinc ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at https://hypersinc.com and related services (the "Platform"). We publish emerging technology intelligence across five verticals: Freedom Tech, Deep Tech, Clean Tech, Energy, and Space Tech. Questions about this policy can be directed to privacy@hypersinc.com.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, create a Pro account, or contact us.
- Payment information — billing details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never store your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials.
- Messages — if you contact us via our contact form, we store your message and email address to respond.
Information collected automatically:
- Log data — your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you access the Platform.
- Cookies — we use functional cookies to keep you logged in to your Pro account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Local storage — your Pro authentication token is stored in your browser's local storage to maintain your session.
Information we do not collect:
- We do not build behavioral advertising profiles.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use third-party analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) that track you across sites.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver the newsletter and Platform content you signed up for.
- Verify and maintain your Pro subscription.
- Process payments securely through Stripe.
- Send you the weekly intelligence reports you requested (Pro subscribers).
- Respond to support requests or messages you send us.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
- Improve the Platform based on aggregate, non-identifiable usage patterns.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal data are:
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the subscription or newsletter service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, Platform security, and improving our service.
- Consent — where you have explicitly opted in (e.g., subscribing to email updates).
5. Sharing Your Information
We share your data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Platform:
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy governs data they collect.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (newsletters, receipts). We share only your email address and first name.
- Railway / cloud hosting — our hosting infrastructure processes request logs. Logs are retained for 30 days.
We will disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or safety of HyperSinc, our users, or the public.
6. Data Retention
- Newsletter subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
- Pro account data — retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days, after which your email is anonymized in our logs.
- Contact messages — retained for 12 months then deleted.
- Server logs — retained for 30 days then automatically purged.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@hypersinc.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you authenticated as a Pro subscriber. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not require consent under most applicable laws. We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will require you to log in again each visit.
9. Children's Privacy
HyperSinc is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you of any material data breach that affects your personal data as required by applicable law.
11. Third-Party Links
Our articles contain links to external sources, publications, and company websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify Pro subscribers by email. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
