Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 23, 2026

1. Who We Are

Astral Plane LLC, doing business as HyperSinc ("we," "us," or "our"), operates the website at https://hypersinc.com and related services (the "Platform"). We publish emerging technology intelligence across seven verticals: Freedom Tech, Deep Tech, Clean Tech, Energy, Space Tech, Defense Tech, and Bio Tech. Questions about this policy can be directed to LinkedIn.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, create a Pro account, or contact us.
  • Payment information — billing details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never store your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials.
  • Messages — if you contact us via our contact form, we store your message and email address to respond.

Information collected automatically:

  • Log data — your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you access the Platform.
  • Cookies — we use first-party cookies only. A functional cookie keeps you logged in to your account, and a first-party analytics cookie ("hs_anon") contains a random identifier used to count unique visitors. See section 8 for full details. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • Local storage — your Pro authentication token is stored in your browser's local storage to maintain your session.

Information we do not collect:

  • We do not build behavioral advertising profiles.
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use third-party analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) that track you across sites.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver the newsletter and Platform content you signed up for.
  • Verify and maintain your Pro subscription.
  • Process payments securely through Stripe.
  • Send you the weekly intelligence reports you requested (Pro subscribers).
  • Respond to support requests or messages you send us.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
  • Improve the Platform based on aggregate, non-identifiable usage patterns.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal data are:

  • Contract — processing necessary to provide the subscription or newsletter service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, Platform security, and improving our service.
  • Consent — where you have explicitly opted in (e.g., subscribing to email updates).

5. Sharing Your Information

We share your data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy governs data they collect.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (newsletters, receipts). We share only your email address and first name.
  • Railway / cloud hosting — our hosting infrastructure processes request logs. Logs are retained for 30 days.

We will disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or safety of HyperSinc, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

  • Newsletter subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
  • Pro account data — retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days, after which your email is anonymized in our logs.
  • Contact messages — retained for 12 months then deleted.
  • Server logs — retained for 30 days then automatically purged.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via LinkedIn. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use first-party cookies only. No cookies are set by third-party advertising or cross-site tracking networks.

Cookies we set:

  • Authentication session cookie — keeps you logged in to your account. Strictly necessary for the service to function; cleared on logout or after inactivity.
  • hs_anon — a randomly generated UUID used to count unique visitors and calculate daily, weekly, and monthly active-user totals. Contains no personal information. Stored for 12 months. Not linked to your identity and not shared with any third party.
  • Admin session cookie — only set for administrators accessing the internal dashboard.

You can delete any of these at any time via your browser\u2019s cookie settings. Disabling the authentication cookie will require you to log in again on each visit. Clearing the hs_anon cookie means your visits will not be counted in our aggregate visitor totals, and a new UUID will be generated on your next visit.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising platform.

9. Children's Privacy

HyperSinc is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you of any material data breach that affects your personal data as required by applicable law.

11. Third-Party Links

Our articles contain links to external sources, publications, and company websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify Pro subscribers by email. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
